At Get Paper Industry (GPI), sustainability is not just a practice—it’s a core value that drives everything we do. We are committed to protecting the environment, reducing waste, and promoting eco-friendly production to ensure a greener future.
• Tree-Planting Initiative: For every ton of paper we use, we plant 17 trees. This initiative has already led to the plantation of over 25,000 trees, helping restore forests, improve biodiversity, and combat climate change.
• Eco-Friendly Production: Our handmade paper is produced through an environmentally responsible process, utilizing solar drying methods to reduce energy consumption and a water treatment and recycling system to ensure responsible wastewater management.
• Use of Recycled & Natural Materials: We prioritize sustainability by transforming waste materials—such as cotton rags, discarded paper, and agricultural byproducts like banana fiber, straw, and water hyacinth—into high-quality handmade paper products.
• Minimizing Carbon Footprint: By avoiding harmful chemicals, reducing energy use, and promoting handmade, non-industrial production, we significantly lower our carbon footprint compared to conventional paper manufacturing.
• Community Awareness & Engagement: Beyond our own practices, we advocate for sustainable living by educating communities, businesses, and customers on the importance of environmental responsibility.
Through these initiatives, GPI is not only producing high-quality, sustainable products but also actively working to restore nature, reduce waste, and inspire eco-conscious change in Nepal and beyond.
